What is ANURA?
Anura is the scientific name for frog. Frogs have been seen by the scientific community as a indicator species because of their permeable skin which makes them sensitive to the environment. This ecological diversity network is called Anura because we see sensitive environments and we work to make them more stable, diverse, and healthy. Anura is a place for you to get connected, inspired, and active. Diversity exists in every system. Even the most specific environmental niches have more than one element existing there. Diversity is an international concept which perpetuates adaptation and resilience. Diversity is change in every system; environmentally, socially and economically. Anura's basic policy is to maintain and increase ecological diversity within systems to regain ecological health.
We aspire to enpower you with the ability to be the change you want to see in the world! In every way diversity creates sustainability. Anura strives to appreciate, support, and create diversity. The only constant is change, if we want ecosystems to survive we need to adapt to that change.
As a Cal student and athlete I have had the wonderful opportunity of a first class education and educational environment filled with diversity. One of the most important thing I learned from all of my classes is that the world is full of problems, very large overwhelming problems and not a many solutions. I decided that we need more solutions, for every problem we need a solution. I created Anura so that I could create a place for people to connect, find solutions, and contribute to this beautiful global village in which we live in. There are so many valuable voices out there that are becoming so disillusioned, depressed, and disempowered by our current system. You need to know that your voice is important. I encourage you to keep your voice loud.
The one focus that we have for our projects is environmental sustainability. Environmental sustainability is simply a project that aims to sustain the environmental health and integrity.
